The Barn at Winthrop, also known as the Winthrop Barn Theatre, is a hallmark of our beloved community. Since 2000, The Barn has been buzzing with life – devoted to its mission of bringing people together in the spirit of community. Rooted in its origins as a hub for local theatre, today, The Barn is the backdrop for weddings and quinceañeras, graduation ceremonies and proms, holiday parties and fundraisers, and more. The Venue
The Barn is a multi-purpose event space that includes four distinct spaces: The Barn, The Courtyard, Grandmother’s Park, and The Square in front of The Barn. We encourage hosts to use each of the spaces in your own way – which makes The Barn perfect for a bride or host who desires flexibility, has a creative vision for their event, and doesn’t want a cookie-cutter venue. Winthrop
The Barn is the beating heart of Winthrop, a walkable small town located in Riverview, Florida. Founded in 2000 by Kay and John Sullivan, Winthrop brings walkability and community to the over 800 families who live in and 2,000 people who work at Winthrop. When you rent The Barn, you not only gain access to the venue, but also to all of the tremendous community resources within the town.
Thanks to Winthrop’s beauty, Winthrop has become a destination for professional photographers – so take your event pictures around the iconic Winthrop fountain. Purchase your dress at the local bridal boutique or get your hair done at the local salon or the men’s barber shop. There’s even an Airbnb immediately next to The Barn. Plus, there are seven restaurants as well as a local bar, coffee shop, and ice cream joint for you and your guests to enjoy.
