Interested in bringing your event to The Barn? Here are some answers to our most frequently asked questions!

  • Our rates are for the venue rental only.

    To allow you maximum flexibility, we do not currently offer packages. We want you to have flexibility of choosing vendors of your choice to make your event at The Barn as unique as possible.

    Our rates range from $1,500-$3,200 depending primarily on the event date.

    We pride ourselves on having some of the most affordable rates in town. We offer discounted pricing for non-profit organizations.

  • The venue rental includes the following:

    8-hour block of time (9 hours for weddings)

    Use of our tables and chairs

    Set up and break down of our tables and chairs for up to 200 guests

    Use of all event spaces, including The Barn, The Courtyard, Grandmother’s Park, and The Square

    Use of the Bridal suite and Groom room

    Wi-Fi available

    Ample parking for guests

    Cleaning before and after event

    Customized floor plan

  • We have the following inventory available for use:

    200 white metal chairs

    20 round 60-inch tables (seating 8 comfortably or 10)

    1 round 48-inch table

    5 rectangular 6-foot tables

    3 rectangular 8-foot tables

    1 rectangular 4-foot table

    130 folding chairs for outdoor ceremony set up

  • The venue can host 200 people seated for dinner, 250 people with auditorium style seating, and 350 people standing.

  • No. Only one event takes place at a time at The Barn. When you rent the venue, you get access to all four event spaces: The Barn, The Courtyard, Grandmother’s Park, and The Square.

  • We are available for tours on Monday-Friday, 9:30am-4:30pm, by appointment only. We would be happy to set up a tour with you and host your event!

  • The Barn is located at the northeast corner of Winthrop at the intersection of Bloomingdale and Watson at 11349 Bloomingdale Avenue, Riverview, FL 33578.

  • The Barn is the beating heart of Winthrop, a walkable small town located in Riverview, Florida. Founded in 2000 by Kay and John Sullivan, Winthrop brings walkability and community to the over 800 families who live in and 2,000 people who work at Winthrop. When you rent The Barn, you not only gain access to the venue, but also to all of the tremendous community resources within the town.

    Thanks to Winthrop’s beauty, Winthrop has become a destination for professional photographers – so take your event pictures around the iconic Winthrop fountain. Purchase your dress at the local bridal boutique or get your hair done at the local salon or the men’s barber shop. There’s even an Airbnb immediately next to The Barn. Plus, there are seven restaurants as well as a local bar, coffee shop, and ice cream joint for you and your guests to enjoy.

    Best of all… everything in Winthrop is within walking distance!

  • Since its founding in 2000, The Barn has had many different managers. Currently and since 2022, The Barn is managed by a group called the Avenues, and is closely overseen by Winthrop HQ and John Sullivan.
